Janet and Brenda

I had such a good time visiting with my friend Janet. We got to spend some quiet time alone and then went back to my house to meet my family.

It totally felt like we were back in high school. No awkward moments of silence or anything! I could spend hours talking her ear off.

Janet was in Portland to celebrate her moms 80th birthday! She was able to also visit so many family members that she hasn't seen in years.

I am just glad she was able to slip away for one afternoon and visit with me!

Love you Jan! Lets do this again soon.

I LOVE ST PATRICKS DAY!!!!!!!!

As I go to the stores, I am seeing more and more St Patricks Day things being brought out and I have to say I love it! I know it is typically a "drinking" holiday but I love it just the same. No, I don't enduldge in the green beer....but everything else is green at my house. Green eggs and ham? For sure!

I love St. Patricks Day! I don't know why but I do. How can you not love those cute little leprechauns? The green and the gold...the shamrocks...the rainbows. I just can't help it, I go NUTS~O.

But one thing is for sure. This is my most favorite leprechaun of all time! I love you Caleb Gage.

My little Storm Trooper

My little Storm Trooper and his mom are both very sick. Sheri has pneumonia and Caleb is just plain sick. He has high fevers, cough, crud, you name it. Poor babies. I hope they feel better soon. It makes me sad to see them like this.

I love you Sheri and Caleb, take care and get some rest. We will keep you in our prayers and if anyone else wants to pray for them too, I would consider it a special favor!

Love you two!

Janny P Addison......she's coming!

I miss my friend Janet. We have been friends forever and a day. We were like 2 peas in a pod all the way through school... I don't even remember ever fighting with her...ever. I named Chante's middle name after Janet's middle name... Alizabeth. Well, she is coming! She is going to be in the Portland area this weekend and we are going to try to get together even if its just for a little while. I miss you Jan. Can't wait to see you.

IRS pt2

When I worked for S. LeRoy Thomas, Jr. CPA in Yakima, I had this cartoon on the wall by my desk! The first time I saw it I laughed for days....it still brings a smile to my face. I miss working for LeRoy. He was such a good employer, friend, and mentor. I can't tell you how much I learned from him. Happy Tax Season LeRoy!

The IRS

Ok....so I am not really happy. All I have to say is we took one for the team! Sometimes things just don't work out in our favor and this was one of those times for us. I understand we can't always expect to hit "the jackpot", after all I do work in an accountants office. The IRS taxed us on something we don't feel was fair. I am not going to get into details here but it was a HUGE chunk of change.

One of my favorite tax sayings is:

We are the IRS.
We have what it takes....
To take what you have!

isn't that the truth?

Curse you IRS......Curse you!

I know this is a few days late but I wanted time to find a few pictures of my Aunt Maddy. Her birthday was actually Feb 13th! (Friday the 13th this year......oooohhh)

Aunt Maddy, you are such an inspiration to me and my girls. We love you so very much. I have always been really close to you and I have always known that I could come to you with anything I needed to. When we think about you, some of the words that come to mind are:

Beautiful
Sweet
Caring
Loving
Helpful
Hero
Awesome
Friend
Happy
Angel
Teacher

You are all of these and more. Thank you for all that you are and all that you do. We hope you had the best birthday ever. We can't wait to see you again.

Happy Valentines Day

I am not one of those girls that goes ga-ga over Valentines day. I don't have to have candy or flowers or jewelry. I see no point in paying high prices for a dozen of roses that yesterday cost $12 but today, because its Valentines Day, it will cost you $42!

But I do love to show my girls how much I love them. They are my Valentines. We don't have to go all out to let each other know we love them. This year the girls had a couple of friends stay the night. They all had a blast! It was so nice to hear them all laugh together. Not one ounce of fighting, can you believe that? Throw in some pizza, soda and a few bags of cheap Valentines day candy and let the party begin.

Chante, Yolanda and Monica ~ I love you! You girls make it worth my while to wake up in the mornings. I appreciate you and hope you know how much I cherish every moment we spend together. You three girls are everything to me. Without you, my life would have no purpose. You make me want to be the best I can be. I love you.

My Dream Home

I have been dreaming lately about my "dream home". I have a file on my computer with picture after picture of what my dream home will be like. I have to wonder though, will it ever come to be? I can't wait to have my dream home. Just looking at these pictures make me feel better. Can you imagine living in them?

I love my kids

I think a picture is worth a thousand words! My children never seem to have a problem letting us know how they are feeling....usually it's pretty GOOFY!

These are some of my favorites.....hope you enjoy them and I hope they bring a smile to your face just as they do mine.

Happy Birthday Grandpa Tom!

Happy Birthday To The Worlds Greatest Grandpa!

I can't tell you how much I love this man.

He has been more than a Grandfather to me.

He has been a true father.

I can honestly say he is a hero in my eyes.

When it rains.....it pours

This has been the hardest week of my life.

My oldest daughter Chante, stepped on a piece of glass at Christmas time. She had an in office procedure done to remove it, and he did get a piece that was an inch long. Well, to make a long story short, there must be a piece that broke off because she is having surgery tomorrow! She will be non weight bearing for 15 days! He stressed how important it will be to keep her off that foot, because I guess if she steps down on it, she will tear the stitches and it will take an additional 2 months to heal.

Last Saturday, Monica fell out of the back of a pick-up truck and injured her elbow. They don't think she broke anything but there "MIGHT" be damage to the growth plate so they treated it as if it was a break. She has a splint and wrap on it now and will go in TOMORROW for another set of x-rays and a re-wrap.

I have started my new job and worked a whole 2 days before I needed to request time off because of my children and their doctor appointments! Tax season is upon us and it is only going to get worse.

I am so thankful for the knowledge that Heavenly Father doesn't give us anything we can't handle! I am glad he has so much confidence in me because I sure don't. With me working now, the girls are going to be forced to work together and get along. I hope they see the blessings this will bring them.
